We’re getting in touch to confirm that the sale of the Virgin Money investments and pensions business to Octopus Money has been approved by the Financial Conduct Authority. From 1 December 2025 we’ll become Octopus Money Direct.
What does this mean for you
You don’t need to do anything. Your account number and our products, services, funds and contact details all remain the same.
You’ll see some changes from 1 December 2025:
- We’ll become Octopus Money Unit Trust Managers Limited, trading as Octopus Money Direct.
- Our registered office will change to 33 Holborn, London EC1N 2HT. Our company registration number will remain 3000482 and our Financial Services Register number stays as 171748.
- Our funds will be renamed “Octopus” instead of Virgin Money or Virgin. That includes the Virgin UK Index Tracking Trust which will be called the Octopus UK Index Tracking Fund. Our ISINs remain unchanged.
- Our letters and other items will be rebranded Octopus Money Direct instead of Virgin Money.
- Our bank accounts will show the new name but our account numbers remain unchanged.
A new Privacy Policy will apply from 1 December. It reflects that data will be held by Octopus Money Direct and shared with Octopus Group, not Virgin Money Group. You can see the full Privacy Policy at octopusmoney.com/virginmoney.
